Coach Larry Brown along with his wife Wanda Brown, started the team in January 2000 and have been coaching for over 20 years. Coach Larry is a central figure of the team and can always be seen providing concise instruction to the athletes.

Reggie Smith

Coach Reggie is a Paralegal Analyst for a financial services company in the University area. He brings with him 10+ years of coaching experience. Coach Reggie attended Eastern Kentucky University on a music scholarship and later joined the military where he served for 20 years in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps. While in the military coach Reggie was in three conflicts, was an Airborne Paratrooper, served as the senior paralegal in several roles from defensive litigation to legal assistance, and was a paralegal instructor.
Coach Reggie started as the parent of an athlete on the track club in 2007, and in 2008 transitioned to assistant coach. Although coach Reggie's son has graduated and no longer runs with the team, Coach Reggie has continued to volunteer his time and efforts to further the development of the athletes on the team. Coach Reggie believes that the children are the focus and the purpose of our team, and strives to help build the character of our athletes through academics and athletics. Coach Reggie attributes his dedication to the youth of the community, to his up bringing in a single parent home and now having the ability to give back.
Coach Reggie has played many sports and been was a member of a number of his company's intermural teams. While serving in Europe Coach Reggie was captain of his unit's Army 10 Miler team. Coach Reggie is a USA Track and Field Level 1 certified coach and USA Track and Field Certified Official.

Coach Anthony is a Risk Analyst Team Lead for a mortgage insurance company. Coach Anthony began his college career at Saint Augustine’s College. Coach Anthony transferred to East Carolina University after one year, where he became a proud graduate with a Business degree. Two years later, Coach Anthony returned to obtain his MBA.
Coach Anthony has been around track for more than 20 years. Coach Anthony has been a volunteer coach/helper for various high schools, cross country and track teams in his home town of Wilson NC. Coach Anthony’s running background has allowed him to develop a natural love for distance runners.
Coach Anthony is a licensed and ordained minister through the Rowan Baptist Association, for the last 10 years. Coach Anthony has a vested interest in the success of the Panthers, as his two sons have been a member of the team since 2010. Coach Anthony is a USA Track and Field Level 1 certifed coach.
Coach Anthony motto is Accountability + Responsibility = Excellence.
